Right Back to It

Hello, friends!

After being gone for a month in Cambodia, we are finally back! There are so many things I want to tell you! I promise, a super blog is coming that will give all sorts of details and updates about the trip. Unfortunately, that update is going to have to wait for a bit.

What I can tell you is that there was one unfortunate thing about the Cambodia Global Project that Megan and I led... the timing. We arrived back in the US on August 5 and back to Columbia on August 6. After a few days of rest to recover from jet lag, it's already time for the start of the new semester. ACF is having its pre-Fall leaders retreat tonight and on a scale from "One" to "Not Prepared at All" I am feeling at least a 7 or 8.

So, friends, please be praying for both Megan and me these next few days. We are stil readjusting to being back in the US and still playing catch up with all the work that we weren't doing while we were in Cambodia. Please pray particularly:

- That God would give us FOCUS. Between reverse culture shock, fatigue, and the rigors of the first few weeks of school, it can be really easy to get distracted. Pray that we will not only be able to focus on the task at hand but also on Jesus as we do our work.
- That God would give us REST. We are both done with jet lag but I don't think that our bodies are completely recovered from thin matresses, early wake ups, and the physical toll that high emotion situations take on the body (or at least on my body). I'm pretty sure I've been stress eating these past few days and it isn't pretty. =0).
- Pray for Re:Center, ACF's PRE-FALL RETREAT happening today and tomorrow (Friday and Saturday). This is when all of our leaders and apprentices come together to build community and set the tone for our team for the year. Please pray that Jesus will meet us during this time, in spite of the lack of planning that has happened on my part.

Thanks in advance for the prayers, love, and support. I am looking forward to sharing with you all the cool things that happened in Cambodia!

Have an excellent day!

~Adam
